Performer or Lecturer

Entertain residents with your musical talents or dancing, or speak on an interesting topic. Dates and times are flexible.

Pet Visitation Assistant

Bring a friendly pet to put a smile to the residents’ faces! The pet must be tame, well groomed and up-to-date on all vaccinations with records provided. Our staff will screen the pet before the visitation begins. This position is flexible and a great way to enjoy short visits with our residents.

Pianist

Playing piano for the residents for three 30-minute sets is an easy way to volunteer. Well-Spring favorites are old hymns, classical and old favorites. You can play once or on a regular basis.

Program Assistant

Give our employees a hand by providing residents with crafts, games, seasonal events and other recreational activities. This Greensboro volunteering might include inviting residents to participate, transporting residents to and from the activity in the wheelchairs, delivering items to residents’ rooms, taking residents on a walk outdoors, watering flowers and more.

Art Assistant

Help out our art instructor and staff by implementing painting and craft projects every Tuesday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., or in Assisted Living every Tuesday from 10:30 to 12:00 p.m.

Resident Companion

Resident Companion volunteers visit an assigned resident every week for one hour. The goal of this volunteer program is to establish rapport and develop friendship with the resident. It is important to visit consistently, so the resident can anticipate your time together. You can talk, look through photo albums, read, walk in the courtyard, attend an activity program or be there for support and company.

Fitness Partner

Pair with an Assisted Living Apartment resident and provide them with a 15- to 20-minute chair exercise session every week. The position is flexible, but consistent sessions are important. Our staff will provide any needed training.

Game Leader

Lead and assist residents in Assisted Living with playing cards or a fun board game on Thursday evenings.

Bingo Caller

Call the bingo games for approximately eight to 15 residents every other Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
