The Well•Spring Group hires new executive director and nursing home administrator for The Village at Brookwood in Burlington

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Well•Spring Group today announced the hiring of two key new members of the management team at The Village at Brookwood, a life plan community in Burlington owned by Cone Health and now managed by Well•Spring.

Michael D. Walsh will come on board July 17 as Executive Director. Mike currently serves as Executive Director, Retirement Services, of Trinity Oaks Retirement Community in Salisbury, a part of Lutheran Services Carolinas, Inc. Prior to that, he was Director of Operations for Lutheran Services. In 2002 he was Executive Director of River Landing in Colfax, after having served in the same role at Scotia Village, both continuing care retirement communities and part of The Presbyterian Homes, Inc. From 1995-97, Mike led different entities of Southern Assisted Living, Inc., based in Chapel Hill. He served as a peer surveyor for CARF-CCAC and is a past board member of LeadingAge North Carolina (formerly known as the North Carolina Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging). Mike is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Michael Garland will join the Village on June 28 as Nursing Home Administrator-Director of Health Care Services. Since 2014, he has worked as Nursing Home Administrator at Genesis HealthCare in Asheboro, following two years as Training Manager at Healthcare Services Group, Inc., also in Asheboro. Mike is a graduate of East Carolina University.

Walsh and Garland will be employees of The Well•Spring Group.
